At Pine Lake, my family’s vacation spot, there’s a cliff overlooking the lake if you hike to the right place. I like to go there alone as often as I can. But I only go when my own misery, depression, and anxiety become too much. I call it my “misery place”. I was trying to convey how I feel whenever I go. The reason it’s nighttime in the drawing and not daytime is because of the fact that it’s not a happy place. It’s a place I go to to escape my thoughts and listen to the waves. Making it look like a happy place would defeat the purpose. I used Sketches School to create the drawing and I didn’t do any editing on it. I think that someone who also has a misery place would want it.
