I had to have a major hip surgery back in May of 2022. I went to Nemours Children’s Hospital in Wilmington DE two days after the surgery I was still in the hospital, one of my very nice nurses told my parents and me that there was a gardenjust down the hall and still on the second floor. I begged my parents and they took me. I had to be in my wheel chair but at least I got to get out of that hospital room. It was one of the most amazing things I’d honestly even seen. And no it wasn’t just because I was stuck in the hospital. Kids got to paint rocks and take them and place them around the garden. It truly did heal. Not the outside wounds but the mental ones. It lived up to its name well, The Healing Garden.
